LECTURER POSITION IN SCIENCE EDUCATION

The free-standing Minor in Science Education at UCLA seeks applications for a one-quarter lecturer to teach Science Education 100 during the Winter quarter of 2014. Responsibilities will include lecturing, leading student discussions, overseeing student field experiences, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, overseeing CSET exam preparation, and writing and grading exams and other assessments. Qualified candidates must have an advanced degree in science education and a minimum of five years experience teaching secondary school science. Experience teaching in both public, high-need schools and tertiary education, and familiarity with the UCLA teacher education program are desired.
